About the Sunshine Coast |
|
Blessed by both climate and location, the Sunshine Coast is one of the world's great places to live. People also enjoy working in a place with a sense of community and the social infrastructure of a cosmopolitan city.
One of the most scenically beautiful and varied regions, the Sunshine Coast is peaceful, relaxing and natural. It's also sophisticated, go-ahead and exciting. White surf beaches stretch for about sixty-five kilometres, broken only by an occasional headland or the clear water of a river estuary.
Located only 40 minutes south of Noosa and an hours drive North of Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast now has all the advantages of a major regional centre.... city-style shopping, a thriving cultural community, award winning golf courses, private schools and colleges, a university, major hotels such as the Novotel, Sheraton and Hyatt, advanced medical and hospital facilities and direct flights to major capitals.
The Sunshine Coast attracts more than one million domestic visitors annually - 20% of all domestic travel undertaken in Queensland. The region now ranks first in terms of total domestic visitor volume, replacing the Gold Coast and is the number one destination for Queensland visitors.
